After years of travel and tasting during his career as a wine writer, Tiago built a literary understanding of terroir, viticulture, agriculture and the cultural nuances surrounding wine in his native Portugal. 

In 2012 Tiago moved to Bairrada (where is family is from) and purchased and planted a small plot (2ha) of land with his father. He has spent the subsequent near decade turning his literary understanding of viticulture and viniculture into a practical one.
