Pale straw in youth, deepening to gold with age, Derthona opens with aromas of white peach, acacia, and hawthorn. With time, layers of flint, beeswax, and mineral tension emerge. The palate is concentrated yet refined, driven by firm acidity and a long, saline finish.
Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed, cold-settled, and fermented at low temperature for 10–14 days. The wine rests on its fine lees for 10–12 months with regular bâtonnage, gaining texture and complexity while retaining the grape’s vibrant freshness.
