2022 David Reynaud Crozes "Georges"

100% biodynamically farmed Syrah grown on the stony, alluvial terraces and granite foothills around Beaumont Monteux. “Georges” is David Reynaud’s flagship Crozes-Hermitage sourced from old vines that deliver great concentration. 

Grapes are harvested by hand, fermented with native yeasts, and often include a proportion of whole clusters. Long, gentle maceration precedes élevage in older barrels and concrete, preserving freshness, purity, and the expression of site rather than oak.

Tasting notes: blackberry, plum skin, violets, black pepper, and a graphite edge typical of the appellation’s granitic influence. The palate is supple yet energetic, with silky tannins, savoury spice, and a clean mineral finish.
