Grape: 100% Nebbiolo
For this exceptional Barolo, Gian Luca Colombo works biodynamically across small parcels in Roddi and the Langhe, farming without chemicals and fermenting exclusively with native yeasts. Macerations run long, typically 25 to 55 days depending on the character of the vintage. Aging begins with the required 18 months in large Austrian oak, then transitions to amphora, cement or bottle. No fining. No filtration.
The wine shows lifted red-cherry fruit, rose petal, blood orange and a subtle thread of anise. The palate is medium-bodied with refined tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.
