2021 Pommard 1er Cru Bertins

From organically farmed vines in Les Bertins in the southern part of Pommard, close to Volnay. Les Bertins has a greater amount of limestone than other Pommard premier crus, and the wines are sometimes a bit lighter and more "Volnay-like" in character. Although 2021 was a smaller and more challenging vintage, the Les Bertins has everything we're looking for: delightful aromas of red fruit and flowers, that flow onto the palate with light and finely textured tannins. A well-defined start, middle, and finish with plenty of class.
