This is one of the emblematic cuvées that forged the reputation of Domaine Gilles Berlioz. It is 30-year-old Jacquère vines planted on steep clay-limestone hillsides, slow gentle pressing, low temperature fermentation.
Tasting such a racy Jacquère literally shed light on this underrated region. Le Jaja shows a powerful and deep mineral/floral/citrus nose. After a few minutes, white fruits round out to become juicier, and it finishes long with a hint of bitterness.
