2023 Chateâu Laubarit Bordeaux

A classic red Bordeaux from Chateâu Laubarit, an organic and biodynamically farmed estate in the Haut-Benauge sub-region of the Entre‑Deux‑Mers. The vineyards sits on clay, limestone, and iron-rich loess. The vineyards have been certified organic by Ecocert since 1965 and biodynamic by Demeter since 2002. 

The wine is a classic blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts and minimal sulphur additions; the wine is bottled unfiltered and un fined to preserve natural expression. 

Tasting note:
Medium-bodied with aromas of cherry and currant, subtle prune undertones, tobacco and gravel-driven soil nuance. Great palate texture with fine tannins that frame the fruit, and a mineral spine carries the finish.
