2018 Texier Saint-Julien en Saint-Alban

Texier's 'regular' bottling of Syrah from His younger (20-40 year old) vines in the granite-rich soils of Saint-Julien en Saint-Alban. Whole cluster fermentation with native yeasts in open concrete tanks with zero sulphur added and a 6-8 day maceration. Aged in concrete tanks on fine lees for 18-24 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Notes of red and black ripe berries, white pepper underbrush, and violets. Fine graphite-like tannins and pleasant acidity.
