2022 Berlioz Mondeuse Savoie 'La Deuse' - In Transit
Mondeuse, the most famous of Savoie grape varietals, flourishes here on the terroir of Bordiot. Fermentation is done with indigenous yeasts, at low temperature. For a minimum of handling, Gilles Berlioz works by gravity, without inputs and with minimal doses of sulphur. Bottling takes place at the beginning of summer, before the harvest, respecting the lunar cycle.
Huge spicy/fruity/floral dimension that shines with its intensity and ultra-sensual evolution in the glass. We find white pepper, peony and wild black berries. On the palate, there is a beautiful, very straight sapid substance - the tannins are very fine and the finish very long.
