Varietal: grenache blanc
Region: rhône valley
Located in Saint Gilles, which borders the Camargue region (think wild white ponies and fresh French salt) at the mouth of the Rhone River, Chateau Saint Cyrgues was built on the ruins of the Church of Saint-Cirice de Marge in 1654. Salamandre shows off the domaine's playful side. Made from the Grenache Blanc variety, the fruit sees 10 days of maceration prior to pressing. Notes of white peaches, sweet almond flowers, and orange rind.
