Francesco Cirelli farms organically in the hills of Atri, overlooking the Adriatic in Abruzzo. For 2025, he teamed up with Vanya Filipovic of Montreal’s Vin de Dame Jeanne to create a special cuvée with Canada in mind.
The idea was to find a meeting point between the crisp, easygoing character of Italian Pinot Grigio and the richer texture and aromatics associated with Pinot Gris. Hhand harvested, chilled and a short period of skin contact before spontaneous fermentation, with ageing in stainless steel and concrete to preserve freshness.
Pear and crisp apple meet riper stone fruit, lychee and a touch of honey, with subtle almond and spice underneath. Dry and lively, but with enough texture to give it a little more substance than your typical Pinot Grigio.
