An impressive new cuvée comprised of Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley (20%) and (80%) Muscat a Petit Grains from the Roussillon, is it Orange? Rosé? A light red, weighty white? Who is to say? The Muscat underwent partial-carbonic maceration for 2 weeks before being pressed off the skins and spending 5 months in neutral oak. The Cabernet Franc was harvested at the end of September (fairly early) and direct pressed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation and elevage. The two finished wines were blended together several months before bottling. Aromas and flavours of lychee and mango from Muscat, supported by a soft tannic structure, go very well with the violet and grapefruit of Cabernet-Franc. The south meets the north in a fruity and floral range. Serve at 12c.
