Made by one of the most historic cellars in Rasteau, this Cote du Rhone is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan from old vines, aged 40-50 years old. Grapes are harvested entirely by hand. The vineyard is managed sustainably, following organic principles.
After fully destemmed and fermented on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats, the wine is aged for a short period (around 3 months) in concrete vats, which helps preserve the wine's fresh fruit character.
Tasting note: it offers aromas and flavours of raspberries, red plum, dark cherry, and a hint of spice or pepper. It is described as medium-bodied, suave, fruity, and a little savoury.
