NV Louis-Antoine Luyt Chicha Luyt 1L

French-born winemaker Louis-Antoine Luyt has spent more than two decades exploring Chile's traditional wine culture, particularly its old-vine País vineyards. After studying winemaking in Burgundy and working with Marcel Lapierre in Beaujolais, he brought a low-intervention approach to Chile, championing local grapes and the country's long history of everyday wines.

Chicha Luyt draws on this tradition, using País from old, ungrafted vines in the Maule Valley. Farmed organically without certification and made with minimal intervention, it captures the rustic, refreshing character of Chilean country wine. The generous one-litre format is a nod to the communal drinking culture surrounding *pipeño*.

Somewhere between a dark rosé and a light red, it's juicy and lively, with strawberry, raspberry, cranberry and watermelon, alongside earthy, smoky and herbal notes. Enjoyable served chilled, alongside grilled meats, empanadas or casual gatherings around the table.
