Touriga Nacional, Castelao, Tempranillo; all classic Portuguese grapes from their classic regions. Vinhos Aparte says they save the best reds for this blend, carefully hand harvested and foot tread with only a brief few days on skins, the wine gets gravity decanted to neutral oak barrels where they finish alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Fresh red berries on the nose, with a bit of spice and balsamic and a medium body.ย
