The History
Château Léoube, one of Provence's most charming estates, is set just beyond the Mediterranean shores, spread across four kilometres of coastline and covering 560 hectares.
The Léoube estate is one of the most stunning and protected sites in Europe. It was purchased by the current owners in 1997, Anthony & Carole Bamford, UK founders of Daylesford Organic – one of the UK’s most sustainable farms.
The Philosophy
Anthony & Carole wanted to bring a natural approach to Léoube, following a back-to-basics philosophy. Léoube’s organic vines are dry-farmed with biodynamic principles and they work hard to strengthen the land’s biodiversity and natural defences by employing traditional growing methods and using only natural, non-toxic treatments. All of the grapes and olives are all harvested by hand, in tune with the seasonal and lunar cycles.
