The History
Patricia and Clara, two sisters shaking things up in Rioja, are the heart of Señorío de Librares. This small family winery, now in its third generation, is nestled in El Villar de Arnedo. They’ve fully embraced a low-intervention, organic farming approach, keeping things as natural as possible. Their vineyards, perched at 600 metres on scenic slopes, enjoy a unique blend of Mediterranean warmth with a cool Atlantic breeze from the north of the Iberian Peninsula. It’s a fresh, modern take on winemaking with deep roots in tradition.
Today, they cultivate La Rioja's native grapes—Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha, and Mazuelo—for their reds and rosés, while Viura brings their whites to life. It's all about combining tradition with a fresh perspective to keep the spirit of Rioja alive.
The Philosophy
LIBRARES is their tribute to the beautiful La Rioja, rooted in nature and sustainability.
The name “Librares” has a cosmic twist. “LIBRA” marks the harvest months of September and October, while “ARIES” symbolizes March and April, when their young wines are ready to enjoy. This name reflects the journey of their wines, much like how the stars influence life, growth, and evolution.
Librares captures the magic of nature, celebrating the connection between their wines and the earth. Experience their love for the land through their heritage-inspired wines.
