The perfect gateway Riesling to the world of Clemens' exceptional craftmanship.
This dry Riesling comes from the biodynamically farmed vineyards of Clemens Busch in Pünderich on the Terrassenmosel. The vines for this entry‐level Trocken are drawn from multiple plots around the Marienburg hillside and adjacent flatter sites, with vine ages starting from approximately 30 years and above.
Vineyards sit on steep slate terraced slopes, primarily blue, grey and red slate. Viticulture is certified organic and biodynamic, emphasising natural fertility and minimal intervention. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, and the wine is raised in barrels (about 60%) and steel (about 40%) for approximately 7 months before bottling.
Tasting note: soft pale gold in the glass with green highlights, offering aromas of green apple, white flower, subtle wet stone and a light herbal undertone. The palate is crisp, mineral driven and tensioned by fresh acidity, giving a lively finish with taut focus and a whisper of stony salinity.
